The El Paso Holocaust Museum and Study Center presents a special screening of “Yizkor”
at the El Paso Museum of Art tonight. Filmmaker Ruth Fertig will be in attendance for a Q&A session
afterwards.

March 22, 2011: Casa Azul hosted a screening of “Yizkor” followed by
a Skype Q&A with director Ruth Fertig tonight in Grand Coteau, Louisiana. Fun fact!: the film has
now played in five states along the southern border of the U.S.

film series is screening Oscar shorts tonight in Prague. “Yizkor” is included in the
line-up. Full circle for the film, since the first shoot and research trip started in Prague on New
Year’s Day, 2008.

San Francisco Jewish Film Festival’s Super 8 Hanukkah Festival - “eight short films from

June 12, 2010: “Yizkor” won the gold Student Academy Award today in
a ceremony at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

May 17, 2009: “Yizkor” had its first public screening at 9pm at the
Alamo South Lamar in Austin, along with three other thesis films from the University of Texas.

May 13, 2009: There was a packed house at the Alamo Drafthouse in Austin tonight
for the Texas Documentary Tour’s “10 Under 10” screening, which included “The
Cockroach Project.” 10 documentaries, each around 10 minutes long and made for about $10. You

and Gay Film Festival, in an “international selection of shorts exploring
the idea of home.” What a lovely group of films in which to be included.

This will be its first international screening.

December 20, 2008: Ruth Fertig is the recipient of the 1st Annual Arch Campbell
Award for Creative Vision at the University of Texas at Austin. The entire award will go towards financing

September 11, 2008: “Two Spirits” screened at the Out and Equal Workplace Summit in Austin today, in a program
focused on culture and identity.

and Video Association’s annual conference in Colorado Springs. UFVA provided partial funding for
the film, so it is a privilege to be sharing it with them today.

December 8, 2007: The tickets are in hand and we’re leaving on New Year’s
Eve for Prague to begin filming the Super 8 portion of the new film, “Yizkor.” We’ll
also be doing a ton of archival research as we travel to Prague, Brno, Terezin and Jerusalem for two
weeks.
